What is Attaché Design?
Attaché Design is the application of professional interior design for those who live a distance from Paula Grace Designs, Inc. but would like the PGD classic style, for those on a tight budget, or for do-it-yourselfers that need a plan but not the full service features.
Professional interior design services that shows your personality takes getting to know you in some detail. To do this well with Attaché Design, you will complete a detailed information packet. The packet includes a questionnaire, instructions for measuring and outlining the room(s) and windows, and a list of photos to be taken. If you have existing furnishings to be incorporated into the design, an inventory of these pieces will be included in the questionnaire.
After the designer reviews the information, a conversation via telephone occurs between you and the designer. This conversation deepens the understanding of your desires and captures information that may not easily be conveyed on paper, email, or in photographs.
Once the information gathering process is complete, the design begins to unfold. First, computer generated drawings illustrating space and furniture plans are completed. Next each furnishing (furniture, lighting, fabric, accessories, art, window treatments, paint color, finishes, etc.) will be selected and outlined for an easy, stress-free implementation.
If you would like to review the information with the designer after you receive it, this can be done via telephone at no additional charge.
What will you receive?
You will receive for each room designed:
- Photographs generally showing the design concept
- Computer generated drawings with space and furniture plan showing exactly where everything will go
- Large paint, fabric, and wallcovering samples as applicable
- A CD with pictures of furnishings selected
- An outline of the furnishings cost and where to get them
- Detailed instructions on how to implement your perfect space
All of the above will be sent to you in an organized three ring binder inside a lovely Paula Grace Designs, Inc. attaché bag (hence Attaché Design). This is so you may easily carry all that you need on your shopping trips and when you visit family and friends to show them your unique plan.
What is the fee for Attaché Design?
- Living or Family Room $1600.00
- Dining Room $1350.00
- Master Bedroom $1400.00
- Other Bedroom $1100.00
- Library or Home Office $1200.00
- Bathroom $1100.00
- Entryway/Foyer $900.00
- Powder Room or Hallway $750.00
The design fee is non-refundable.
How do we get started?
To get started, simply purchase the desired room(s) via the website. An email confirming your purchase will follow with the attachments below (please complete the information for each room):
- Questionnaire
- Instructions for Measuring and Outlining the Room (an example is provided)
- Instructions for Measuring and Outlining Windows
- List of photos to be taken of the room(s)
Once the completed packet is received at the design studio, the designer will email you to schedule the telephone conversation. Please allot ample time for this important conversation.

How long does it take to receive my design(s)?
The lead-time to receive your completed design(s) is dependant on the number of rooms. For one room, the lead-time is on average three weeks from the time of the telephone conversation. For multiple rooms, the lead-time is four to six weeks.
